Cove Café , together with the beautiful Reef Restaurant , is owned by the Keeling Family. Jonathan Keeling is heading a team of young dynamic professionals dedicated to this challenging and sometimes crazy industry.
Amongst the Cove Team, there is a common love of food and wine, a passion for customer service and the pursuit of excellence. Staff have varied employment and personal experiences, which create a high level of combined professionalism and enthusiasm.

Staff are carefully selected by the manager and each staff member is treated as a respected individual. Employment terms are personally created and negotiated to suit individual requirements. The owners and managers are hands-on in the business and work closely with the staff on a daily basis.
There is a definite sense of family, belonging and comradery amongst the team. It’s a happy environment.

Between Cove and Reef  our back and front-of-house team includes as many as 30 staff employed at any one time. Whilst some staff have expertise and are dedicated to one area, our staff are encouraged to work in all facets of our multi-purpose venue including Reef restaurant, Cove café, Cove kiosk and Functions.
The variety of opportunities available helps staff to realise their forte and gain invaluable experience and growth in all areas of this diverse industry.

We encourage our apprentice chefs to attend their chosen Tafe college in order to meet fellow peers and make important industry contacts.
We assist front-of-house employees through plenty of on-the-job training to obtain certificates 1 – 3 in hospitality operations.

We seek permanent staff that are willing to commit to a minimum of 6 months employment; as well as casual staff for week ends and functions.
We are closed on Christmas day; we do however expect all of our staff to be available for New Years Eve and the busy Christmas season and school holidays.

Wages are negotiable and based on experience and qualifications.

Cove Café seeks enthusiastic staff that share our love for good food and a willingness to give excellent customer service. For non residents of Australia, you must have a full work visa. Cove is a reputable employer and only pays staff with the correct legal credentials. Employees wanting cash need NOT apply. Cove is a member of the NSW Restaurant and Catering association and as an incorporated business pays under the R&C Notional State Award.
